Mark Lemon returns with the latest children’s story in his series: Thea Lemon & her Super Sporty Godmother. Set in a spectacularly snowy wonderland, Mark’s latest story is the perfect stocking filler this Christmas. Another magical tale unfolds as Thea takes on the world skiing champion in this beautifully designed book that kids (and parents) will love.
Mark’s latest book comes hot off the heels of his success at the Junior Magazine awards where his debut story, Otis Lemon & The Spectacular Submarine was awarded the Platinum Design Award for outstanding design features. Mark’s books are becoming hugely popular amongst families, especially those looking for stories that feature non-white characters. Mark’s latest story is another celebration of diversity in literature.
ABOUT LEMON DROP BOOKS: When Mark’s children came along, both he and his wife noticed a lack of children’s books featuring non-white protagonists. Mark wanted to find books that his mixed-race kids could look at and relate to and imagine themselves being a part of. So, in an effort to diversify children’s literature, he created his own. Mark is dedicated to making reading enjoyable for young children and has worked closely with a number of schools in his local, Bristol, area. He has collaborated with educational professionals to create schemes of work, in line with the national curriculum for every book in the series. Mark has currently sold over 600 books through his own website and his books are now available on Amazon. They are also stocked in Waterstones ad Foyles and independent bookstores throughout Bristol.
