OUR STORY

Mark Lemon is an award-winning children’s author, public speaker, podcaster, grief & mental health speaker and bereavement ambassador for children's charity, Winston's Wish.

When Mark was 12-years-old his father was murdered and he has now dedicated his life to helping children, young people, and adults struggling to come to terms with their grief and loss. Mark has been featured on BBC Radio 1, Independent, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, METRO, London Live Television and Happiful Magazine.

In 2019, Mark launched his podcast, Grief Is My Superpower, in support of children’s bereavement charity, Winston’s Wish. For each episode Mark speaks with inspirational people that get open and honest about their own experience with grief. Grief Is My Superpower has been ranked in the Top 10 Shows Charts on Apple Itunes. Mark's previous guests include The Right Honourable Stuart Lawrence, Steve Bland, Jesse James Wood, Louise Pentland, Dr Radha (BBC Radio One), Gabby Allen (ITV Love Island), Sarah Turner (The Unmumsy Mum), Olivia Wayne (TV Presenter), Daniel Price (Co-Founder of My First Years), Ben Telford, Sarah Conder (Dad V Girls), and more.
Disillusioned with the lack of diversity in children’s books, Mark (with two mixed-race children of his own) decided to create a series of exciting story books with non-white characters. With thrilling tales and beautiful adventures, the Otis & Thea Lemon series have become a firm favourite in family households.  Mark's children’s books are available to order from Waterstones, Foyles, Amazon, Lemon Drop Books and he has won awards at the Junior Design Magazine Awards.
